GOV. DICKSON ARRIVES YENAGOA, INSPECTS ONGOING PROJECTS SITES

Governor Seriake Dickson has returned to Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State Capital after attending to series of activities in Abuja, the Nation's Federal Capital.
The Governor was received on arrival at Government House, Yenagoa by the Deputy Governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John-Jonah (rtd), the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Edmund Allison Oguru, some members of the State Executive Council, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Dame Didi Walson-Jack, the Principal Executive Secretary to the Governor, Hon. Douye Diri, and Local Government Council Chairmen among others.
Hon. Dickson, who heads the Ruling Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) National Reconciliation Committee, latter inspected some ongoing projects within the State Capital.
Among the projects, inspected was the Government House Castle, which is being converted to a 5-star hotel and the expansion of the Onopa road/bridge across the Epie creek.
Others were the renovation of the Gloryland cultural centre, expansion of hospital and water board roads as well as the new Police officers' mess.
The Governor, who was accompanied on the inspection tour by his Deputy, Rtd Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah, the Secretary to Government and some members of the executive council, expressed satisfaction with the pace of work on most of the projects and called on the contractors to complete them unscheduled.
