2013 INTERNATIONAL YOUTHS DAY: CHIEF OGBE CHARGE YOUTHS TO REFRAIN FROM PIPELINE VANDALISM, CULTISM AND OIL THIEFT

The Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government, Chief Remember P.N. Ogbe has charged youths to refrain from pipeline vandalism, cultism, oil theft, violence and all forms of criminality. He stated this during the International Youths Day celebration at the Restoration Play Ground in Oporoma. Represented by the Council’s Political Secretary, Barrister Amaebi Ekpitibo, the chairman reiterated his commitment in ensuring the total wellbeing of youths in the area.
 
Delivering a public lecture to commemorate the event, a guest lecturer, Professor Prince Efere, speaking on the 2013 theme of the annual fiesta christened ‘Youth Migration: Moving Development Forward’, lauded the Chief Ogbe’s youth-friendly disposition enumerating the training of fifteen youths of the area in the Niger Delta University entrepreneurship centre, appointment of a Supervisor for Youth, Special Adviser and Senior Special Assistant on Youths, amongst others. Prof. Efere however tasked youths to reciprocate the administration’s gesture by living above boards in their dealings.
